Focus Areas

Four connected pillars guide every programme InuAbility runs — from a single home accessibility audit to a national advocacy campaign. Together they cover the physical, technological, educational and social barriers that people living with disability face across Africa.

Where We Focus Our Work

Disability inclusion is rarely solved by one intervention alone. A ramp means little without awareness of why it's needed; a wheelchair means little without a caregiver trained to support daily life; and none of it is sustained without policy and advocacy behind it. That's why InuAbility organises its work around four focus areas that reinforce one another rather than four separate services.

Mobility & Accessibility Awareness

We help communities, employers and institutions recognise physical and social barriers to mobility, and push for barrier-free spaces and inclusive design across homes, schools, workplaces and public infrastructure.

Technology

Assistive Technology Support

We guide individuals and families toward the right mobility aids, adaptive equipment and smart home solutions, and help them navigate what's often a confusing and under-resourced path to accessing them.

How We Work Across Every Focus Area

Whatever the focus area, our engagements tend to follow the same three stages — so organisations and families know what to expect when they bring us in.

1. Assessment

We start by listening and observing — assessing physical spaces, current practices, equipment, or policy gaps to understand exactly where the barriers lie.

2. Training

We run workshops and awareness sessions tailored to the audience, whether that's a caregiver, a classroom, an HR team or a local authority.

3. Implementation

We stay involved as recommendations are put into practice, offering practical, ongoing support until inclusive changes are genuinely embedded.
